Lawson was founded in 1962. Founder Thomas Lawson took over the farming clients of the Farm Accounting Association and set out on his own. Some of these original clients have been with us for over six decades. Sons David and then Mark joined him in the 1980’s.
The practice consists of ten staff that ply their trade in the center of Timaru.

Technology was changing the accountancy world. This made us eager to cultivate our own style, one that would effectively intersect our expertise with our respective interests. We believe that what wins a new client and what makes a business thrive is the passion that drives it.
